Former Scranton Police Chief Klee Dies

Funeral arrangements have been announced for former Scranton Police Chief Jim Klee.

The former chief died Monday after an illness.

The funeral is set for 9 a.m. Friday at the August J. Haas Funeral Home on Pittston Avenue in Scranton.

A Mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. at the Nativity of Our Lord Church on Orchard Street.

Klee served the Scranton Police Department for 43 years, as a patrolman , through the ranks until he became chief, a position he held for over a decade.

He was also public safety director for the city.
