The winning ticket in Powerball’s Saturday drawing worth $336 million was sold at a supermarket in Newport, Rhode Island, but that person wasn’t the only big winner.

A ticket worth $1 million was sold at the Convenient Food Mart on Northern Boulevard near Chinchilla.

The winner, who matched all five numbers correctly, has yet to claim the prize, but the fact that a $1 million ticket was sold there has given others hope.

“I play the Powerball, I play every day, the Powerball, all three of them,” said John Pisaturo from Clarks Summit. He added he already has plans on how to spend the money, if he ever wins. “Naturally I would pay all my children, my nieces and nephews, pay all their debts that they have, try to get them back on their feet.”

Customers who come the store said they might just start playing the Powerball a little more often because they would use the money to go somewhere warm.

“I would probably go on a nice vacation and get out of the cold weather,” said Kristy Jamison from Scranton.

“Go on a beach vacation somewhere very very exotic. I hate the cold weather,” said

Kristina Rasieleski of Scranton.

The Convenient Mart will receive $5,000 for selling the million dollar ticket but lottery officials can’t say who bought it until the winner comes forward.

Even though there are always more losing tickets than winning ones, lottery players there hope they can hit it big too.

“I play, like I said again, just to hope that I could be a winner as well as anybody else,” added Pisaturo.
