Store Owner Fights Back Against Robber

A robber got more than he bargained for during a crime in Lackawanna County. The owner turned the tables on the thief with a knife.

It happened at the Convenient Food Mart on North Main Street in Old Forge around 10:45 p.m. Monday.

According to the owner, the robber flashed a knife and he handed the thief cash. When the bandit was distracted, the owner hit him with a bat.

Police in Old Forge said the thief was still able to run from the store with about $500 in cash.
