A man already locked up in the Lycoming County jail faces new charges of rape and related charges.
Police in South Williamsport said a girl reported she was sexually assaulted January first.
Thursday officers charged Stanley Bennet of South Williamsport with rape, unlawful contact with a minor, furnishing alcohol to minors, and related crimes.
Bennet remains jailed in Lycoming County.
