An electronic billboard that pays tribute to the late Doctor Joseph Mattioli has been posted along a highway in Monroe County.
The electronic billboard along Route 33 near Saylorsburg reads, “The Poconos will be forever grateful. Doc Mattioli, 1926 to 2012.”
Pocono Raceway said the Mattioli family put up the board as a way to say thanks to the community for all the kind words and condolences after “Doc” Mattioli’s death.
Mattioli, the founder of Pocono Raceway, died last week. He was 86 years old.
