The state is easing up on the guidelines of an asset test it wants to impose on people who use food stamps.
Pennsylvania now wants to set a limit of $5,500 for regular households and $9,000 for households with a disabled or older person.
The previous plan that came out last month set the asset test at limits of no more than $2,000 for regular households.
Critics argued the limits were too restrictive.
