A man who worked a gas pipeline project is accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of steel.
Police in Wayne County said George Doll of Oklahoma was a superintendent for Henkles and McCoy, Inc working on a pipeline project that stretches from Uniondale in Susquehanna County through Wayne and Pike counties.
Investigators said he stole more than 60 large steel road plates from a construction site in Wayne County and sold them for scrap.
The plates are valued at nearly $300,000.
Doll is locked up in Wayne County on $50,000.
