Charges Filed in Slashing

A man from Luzerne County is accused of slashing another man last month after an argument.

Maurice Porter, 25, of Hanover Township was charged Tuesday morning with aggravated assault and other offenses for the incident last month.

According to police, Porter slashed Isaac Taylor of Nanticoke with a box cutter after an argument on North Main Street in Ashley. Taylor is recovering.

Porter is free on bail.
