Springs Window Fashions Cutting Jobs

A company that makes window blinds, shades and curtains is closing its doors.

Springs Window Fashions announced Thursday it is transferring manufacturing operations from its plant on Route 405 near Montgomery to Wisconsin and Mexico.

About 150 people will lose their jobs at the plant.

The company will maintain its customer service operation in Montgomery and Williamsport.

According to a statement, the company will begin phasing our production over the next two months and expects to end operation within the next year.
