Larger planes will be flying in and out of the Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport to meet passenger demand.
Officials at the airport said US Airways Express is in the process of adding more seats to its flights out of Luzerne County by using bigger planes.
The upgrade started last week with the airline’s flights to and from Charlotte, North Carolina.
Starting in March, United Express will increase the number of seats on its flights to Newark, New Jersey.
