Fire crews battled flames and the bitter cold Friday afternoon in Northumberland County.
The fire broke out about 12:30 p.m. at a home along Route 54 in Natalie, outside Mount Carmel.
At times, flames were shooting from the widows of the house.
There is no word if anyone was home at the time.
Route 54 was closed to traffic while firefighters battled the blaze.
There is no word yet what caused the fire.
