This weekend is one of the busiest at area ski slopes. At Sno Mountain in Lackawanna County they are prepared for the crowds.
“This is Martin Luther King weekend so it`s a very busy weekend for us, we will have about 22 of our trails open which is great,” said Nancy Kaminski of Sno Mountain.
Whether they were first timers or experienced skiiers and boarders, people were packing the slopes Friday night.
“It`s fun to like hang out with friends and like going down, like going off jumps,” said Madison Stewart of Moscow.
“I just like going fast and going off the jumps,” said Brendan Betti of Moscow.
Although Mother Nature has not been terribly helpful so far this winter in terms of delivering the cold and snow, colder weather is expected for the weekend.
“When I was here last week it was like nice and sunny out so you wouldn`t have to deal with anything, but tonight you have the wind and the snow so it`s going to make it a little tougher, but it`s going to be a good experience for me,” said Tyler Novojoski of Dickson City.
“It`s about time we actually got snow, it`s been really hot and like just ready to have a blizzard,” said Angela Grisinger of Moscow.
