A member of the Pittston Area School Board faces DUI charges.
Avoca police said Bruce Knick drove erratically through the borough when patrolmen stopped him on December 6.
Police charged Knick on Friday with driving under the influence.
Police said his blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit.
Officers said they had to wait for blood test results before filing charges.
