The health system from Tennessee that took over Scranton’s Mercy Hospital now officials owns two other hospitals in our area.
Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton is now part of Community Health Systems, as is Mid Valley Hospital in Peckville.
Last month a Lackawanna County judge approved the sale of Moses Taylor Healthcare System, which included the hospitals in Scranton and Peckville, to Community Health.
That sale was finalized Tuesday.
